MATT DJ

Anga Mathenjwa, known as DJ Matt was born in the Eastern Cape but grew up in Ingwavuma (KZN), Joburg.

A Mechanical Engineer by profession has always been passionate about music, he grew up in a musical family – “Music has a way of healing my soul” as Anga would mention every now and again.

Kabza, Stanky, Thukzin and Junior De Rocka being his favorite DJs, Matt would love to see himself working with vocalists; Sir Trill, Boohle, Nia Pearl, Daliwonga, Aymos, Zaba and Sino Msolo. Started work work in Cape Town when he was 22, DJ Matt says his never expiring Playlist is soulful/ jazzy piano.

“My 5 year plan is to invest in my brand and studio time, to release at least 3 albums and collaborate with big names”
