DJ Amenisto was born inNkanini, eShowe, 25 December1986, where he attended hisprimary school and high schooleducation before realizing thatthe sting of music was workingits way into his system. It was inthe early 2000’s when the DJentered club/DJ scene withmuch fan-fare, as one of theyoungest DJ’s in the province,under the guidance of eShowebased community radio Icora fm DJ’s and later the Vinyl Entertainment crew.DJ Amenisto hosted a party time Radio Show at Icora fm, in 2007 and interviews bySABC 1’s Live, Ukhozi fm afternoon drive show with Linda Sibiya, and later by DJSgqemeza, Igagasi fm V-sessions by DJ Vumar, Isolezwe, and local communitynewspapers, soon followed.His move to Richards Bay in mid-2000’s when he attended Umfolozi College in RichardsBay signaled his career’s take-off. His exploits on the decks at private functions, clubs andother events paved the way to his first album release under Emabalabala Entertainmentin 2009, in it he featured DJ Bongz, it was titled Verse 1 and sold over 15 000 copiesunder the distribution of SONY BMG.DJ Amenisto took up club residency in Clubs including Forest Inn Lounge, Club 60’s,Upstairs, Backstage Lounge, before his calling to big thing s came when he was signed upby multi-recording stable Afrotainment, under DJ Tira.
